Sent in: On a routine sail from Waikiki to Kaneohe, our vessel was smashed by a large wave off Makapu’u point. The impact catastrophically destroyed the forward third of our starboard hull and put a hole in the main hull. We immediately radioed the US Coast Guard to and fired our EPIRB.
