Baptisia is a wonderful native plant with a native range from central Canada, down through the central United States and all the way to the East Coast. There are multiple colors that are pure native species (indigo, yellow and cream). There are also some varieties that have been bred to be different colors. Remember that anytime a flower has been changed to have a different color, it is not as easily recognizable by native insect so please try and stick to the native colors as much as you can. I
