A Puddingstone axe on its way to a customer who has been very patient as we’ve battled through injuries and flu (not been fun). This unusual rock comes from my home county of Hertfordshire. It was quarried during the Roman occupation of Britain to produce quern stones due to its incredibly hard-wearing properties.
