Texas State began the process of calling a Monday meeting of the university’s Board of Regents to formally accept the Pac-12’s invitation, according to The Austin Sports Journal. Additionally, university officials began to alert its current conference, the Sun Belt, of the Pac-12’s offer and its intention to accept it.

The Pac-12 has extended an invitation to Texas State to join the conference as an all-sports member beginning in the summer of 2026, an industry source confirmed late Thursday night. But it could be a few days before any move is finalized.
