After charges were dismissed against a man who may have been mistakenly identified as a suspect in a deadly Wallingford arson, the Seattle Police Department (SPD) is asking for the public’s help in finding the real suspect.

Police found "an Asian male with dark hair and a (similar) name and deemed it sufficient to move forward with life altering charges,” the defense wrote.

Seattle police continued investigating after the filing and discovered additional evidence that cast doubt on whether Shi was the person responsible.
