Scrubs” is officially scrubbing back in at ABC. Variety has learned that the planned reboot of the beloved hospital comedy has been ordered straight-to-series at the broadcaster for the 2025-2026 season.
It's been 14 years since the last time we heard the thoughts of Doctor John Dorian (Zach Braff) from Scrubs, and now the sitcom is showing signs of life with news that it's set to return to our screens for a brand new season.
JD (Braff) & Turk (Faison) scrub in together for the first time in a long time- medicine has changed, interns have changed, but their bromance has stood the test of time. Characters new and old navigate the waters of Sacred Heart with laughter, heart and some surprises along the way.

The Scrubs reboot has officially been greenlighted, receiving a straight-to-series order from ABC. Stars Donald Faison and Sarah Chalke have closed deals to return in their original roles alongside Zach Braff, who signed on for the follow-up in May. All three will executive produce.
