WESTBURY, NY (Gray News/AZFamily) -– A man has died after getting sucked into an MRI machine in New York, according to a police report. The Nassau County Police Department said the tragic accident happened Wednesday afternoon in Westbury, a village in Long Island.

The man was wearing a large metal necklace when he entered a room where the machine, which uses a powerful magnetic field to create images, was operating.
