Senator Mike Lee of Utah has introduced his revised language to the Senate budget bill that would sell more than a million acres of BLM land.

The chairman of the Senate budget committee has released a full text of the Big, Beautiful Bill ahead of a marathon Senate vote expected Saturday, and the text includes the controversial provision to sell off some public lands for housing after the original version was stripped by the Senate's rules referee.

Sen. Martin Heinrich of New Mexico called Mike Lee’s land-sale proposal “horsesh*t” and said “85% of the money from these sales would go to pay for tax cuts” for the wealthy.
