The NFL has tabled discussions to ban the so-called tush push, the Philadelphia Eagles' controversial version of a quarterback sneak, but could continue those talks at the league owners' spring meeting in May, the league said Tuesday.

That would be star offensive lineman Lane Johnson, who implied the league was jealous of the Eagles' success with the tush push. Johnson, a six-time Pro Bowler, said other teams were upset about the play because "they ain't us."

One problem is that there's no evidence supporting the first idea. In February, CBS Sports' Jonathan Jones reported the NFL's internal data showed no player injuries during the tush push in 2024. Kahler echoed that detail in her report.
