Tesla Inc. saw its first increase in vehicle deliveries from its Shanghai factory this year, with the US automaker potentially buoyed by the clearance of regulatory hurdles for its advanced driver-assistance features.

BEIJING (Reuters) -Tesla's China-made electric vehicle sales edged up 0.8% in June from a year earlier to 71,599 units, snapping an eight-month losing streak, even as lower-cost new models from its Chinese rivals put growing pressure on the U.S. automaker.

Tesla, the electric-vehicle maker led by Elon Musk, saw global sales drop 13.5%, marking the second consecutive quarter with double-digit declines.
