The man who killed two people at Richmond Road Baptist Church after shooting and injuring a Kentucky State Police trooper at Blue Grass Airport had a long criminal history dating back several years.
It’s been two days since police say Guy House shot five people, including a state trooper, leaving two women dead.
After barging into the church and realizing his apparent target wasn’t inside, the killer declared, “Well, someone’s gonna have to die, then” before he opened fire, witnesses said.
The assailant was fatally shot by police at a Lexington church, but not before shooting five people and killing two.
A spokesperson at Sayre Christian Village tells LEX18 that Guy House's past connection to this community may have influenced his actions.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - We’re continuing to look into Guy House’s lengthy criminal past. More than 40 cases in four counties. However, most of House’s criminal charges are out of Lexington. We know he was supposed to appear in court Monday in a domestic violence case. An emergency protective order was filed against House earlier this month.
Before fleeing to the church, House allegedly shot a Kentucky State Police trooper at about 11.35 a.m. on Sunday after being pulled over near Terminal Drive near Blue Grass Airport. The trooper sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Lexington Police Department.
