This should come as a relief for Android Auto users that rely on SiriusXM. As far as when users should see this fix, well, Google has shared that it will arrive with the next update of Android Auto, which will come in as version 13.4. The brand was clear that this update would arrive to users in the next couple of weeks.

Currently, Android Auto depends on your car model or having a compatible aftermarket stereo. But according to 9to5Google's findings, that might be changing. It is speculated that Google could break free from these limits, with motorcycles possibly leading the charge.

Users report on Google’s forums that, as far back as November of last year, SiriusXM on Android Auto was broken in the sense that menus in the app weren’t functional. In turn, the app was only usable through voice commands, as the touch controls were effectively broken.
