Google says that accessing Gemini happens when you say, "Hey Google," press the mic button in Android Auto or do a long press on the voice control button if your steering wheel has one.

For the first time, a new Gemini model is rolling out immediately to AI Mode in Google Search. The company is also signaling that Gemini 3 will eventually power AI Overviews.
