Emma Watson is temporarily hitting the brakes on driving. Watson, who is known for her iconic role as Hermione Granger in the " Harry Potter " film franchise, has been banned from driving in the United Kingdom for six months, according to U.K. Press Association.

S he danced on a pole in "The Bling Ring." As bookish Hermione Granger, she cast spells in "Harry Potter." And for the past few years, Emma Watson has been studying for a creative writing degree at Oxford.

In addition to her driving ban, the British actress was fined £1,044 by High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
