Jason Dickinson was wearing a walking boot on his left foot after an awkward collision during the Chicago Blackhawks’ 4-3 overtime loss to the Edmonton Oilers.

The Chicago Blackhawks lost one of their best all-around players when Jason Dickinson departed Wednesday night's game against Edmonton with a left leg injury. Dickinson's leg got pinned underneath him after he collided with Oilers forward Vasily Podkolzin early in the second period of Chicago's 4-3 overtime loss.

CHICAGO — Connor McDavid set up Zach Hyman in overtime, and the Edmonton Oilers beat the Chicago Blackhawks 4-3 on Wednesday night. Hyman redirected McDavid's pass for the power-play goal at 1:36. It was Hyman's 19th goal and McDavid's 49th assist of the season.
