I’ve tested many sailboats while involved with Sailing World’s Boat of the Year program and one of the coolest I’ve ever encountered is the Laser SB3. The absolute simplicity of this boat is amazing.

Sailing World magazine announced today the winners of the biggest annual honors in sailboat building, the Boat of the Year awards. Topping the list for 2008, the Laser SB3 was named overall winner.

The SB20 class claims its one-design keelboat racing helps develop top-tier sailors and launch international sailing careers.
