Mikel Arteta has been warned that new signing Martin Zubimendi may not be a ready-made fit for Arsenal ’s midfield. The Gunners finally confirmed the long-awaited signing of Zubimendi on the weekend, with the midfielder joining from Real Sociedad for £51million.

Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Martin Zubimendi as the Gunners plot a bid for Noni Madueke. Zubimendi joins Arsenal from Real Sociedad on a five-year contract. His arrival is expected to be followed by the signing of Christian Norgaard from Brentford as part of a midfield overhaul following the departures of Jorginho and Thomas Partey.

The 26-year-old midfielder is Arsenal's second signing of the summer transfer window under new sporting director Andrea Berta.
