The families of two of the eight people killed earlier this year when an air ambulance crashed in Philadelphia filed a lawsuit on Monday, claiming the medical air transport company and others negligently caused their deaths.

The mortal remains of Wing Commander Namansh Syal, who lost his life in a Tejas aircraft crash during the Dubai Air Show, were brought to Sulur Air Base in Coimbatore on Sunday morning. The IAF officer’s body was flown back to India on a special aircraft. Earlier, the Emirati Defence Forces accorded him a ceremonial guard of honour.

Wing Commander Namansh Syal died on November 21 after the Tejas LCA he was flying lost control, plunged and caught fire.

The Indian Air Force has paid tribute to Wing Commander Namansh Syal, who died in a Tejas fighter jet crash during a display at the Dubai Air Show on Friday. The IAF remembered him as a dedicated and skilled pilot with “unwavering commitment” and an “unyielding sense of duty.

Coroner Baker identified the victims as 33-year-old Sebastian Arnett, 35-year-old Thomas Arnett, and 20-year-old Gabriel Hansen. Hansen has also been confirmed to be the airman who died as a result of the crash. WIS has also reached out to the branch and Shaw Air Force Base for additional comment.
