Woll, Leafs and Return

Cursed families. Escape-room puzzles. And Deborah Ann Woll as the DM. Tales From Woodcreek is D&D like you've never seen it.
The Toronto Maple Leafs goalie, who returned to the team Oct. 24 after taking month-long leave of absence to attend to a personal family matter, will join the Toronto Marlies of the AHL in order to see game action prior to playing in the NHL.
Woll began his remarks by thanking the Leafs organization — namely, Leafs general manager Brad Treliving — and his teammates for their support. He remained close with them throughout his absence. Forward Matthew Knies told The Athletic that Woll texted him to wish him a happy birthday on his Oct. 17 birthday.
Woll (personal) is expected to start on the road against Chicago on Saturday, per David Alter of The Hockey News.
Woll stopped 25 of 28 shots in his second game of a conditioning loan with the Marlies on Wednesday afternoon.
Toronto Maple Leafs defenceman Brandon Carlo will miss Saturday’s game against the Chicago Blackhawks with a lower-body injury.
While the Leafs received temporary relief with Kampf's suspension, moving on from the center allowed them to make moves with clarity.
