First place in the NFC East was on the line Thursday night in Philadelphia, and the Eagles -- the 2022 division champs and regular playoff participant -- reminded the new kids on the block in the Washington Commanders that they have a ways to go.

The Commanders battled the Eagles hard but couldn’t generate much offense, fell way short on a pivotal fourth-down gamble and eventually fell to the Eagles.
