Shedeur Sanders will be wearing the same No. 12 that befitted all-time great Tom Brady for many years and now the legend himself has come to the rookie with some noteworthy words of advice.

Shedeur Sanders signed an NIL with Brady’s apparel brand while he was in college. Brady has also served as somewhat of a mentor to the younger Sanders, according to ESPN. Last month, Brady told Logan Paul on a podcast that he told Shedeur to use his draft-slide as motivation.

“Again: Shedeur Sanders did not choose to wear No. 12 in Cleveland in honor of his mentor Tom Brady, whose Raiders repeatedly passed on him in the draft. No, he’ll wear 12 because it’s his father’s number backward.”
