Veteran running back Cam Akers has signed a one-year deal with the New Orleans Saints following a minicamp tryout this week, the team announced on Friday.

The Saints add another young veteran to it’s running back room, Cam Akers. New Orleans hosted Akers to try out during the mandatory minicamp period. Akers is a Super Bowl champion, winning a championship with the Los Angeles Rams in 2022,

"I'm still hungry and I'm young," Akers said at Saints mandatory minicamp. "I've got a lot of tread on my tires, and I want to rewrite my story personally."
