The nation's top weather agency announced last week that it expects up to 19 named storms to form in the Atlantic basin during the 2025 hurricane season. Significant research and technological advancements have made annual forecast by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration even more reliable.

According to the outlook, there is a 60% probability of an “above-normal” hurricane season; there’s a 30% chance of the season being near normal and only a 10% chance of it being below normal. As noted by the NOAA, there is a 70% confidence rate in the following forecast ranges.
