Marc Marquez withstood race-long pressure from the Aprilia of Marco Bezzecchi to win MotoGP’s Dutch Grand Prix at Assen on Sunday.

ASSEN, Netherlands (Reuters) -Marc Marquez delivered a clinical masterclass at MotoGP's Cathedral of Speed on Sunday to claim victory at the Dutch Grand Prix while his brother and closest contender Alex suffered a race-ending crash that left him with a fractured hand.

Marquez's younger brother Alex, who is his closest rival in the standings, fractured his hand in a crash with Pedro Acosta. The 29-year-old, who is now 68 points behind his older brother, jumped back to his feet but was gingerly holding his wrist as he was biked back to the pit lane and was taken to the medical centre for a check-up.
