19 Democratic state attorneys general are filing a federal lawsuit challenging the Trump Administration's efforts to overhaul the Department of Health and Human Services. I spoke with USA TODAY White House Correspondent Swapna Venugopal Ramaswamy, who joined me from outside the White House, to learn more. Swapna, thanks for hopping on today.

Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield joined 19 other attorneys general in filing the lawsuit. He was also part of a coalition of 23 attorneys general that sued in April to stop Kennedy and the Trump administration from slashing billions of dollars for state health funding.

Nineteen Democratic-led states plus the District of Columbia sued HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Monday, saying his ongoing reorganization of the federal health bureaucracy incapacitated core functions and deprived the states of federal funds and expertise.
