It took one half of their preseason debuts for Russell Wilson and Jaxson Dart to provide promising glimpses into the New York Giants’ present and future in a 34-25 win over the Buffalo Bills on Saturday.

Wilson has looked uneven through 12 training camp practice. It’s obvious (as if it wasn’t already) that he is a fading veteran. Yet at least for Saturday afternoon — when he started and played one drive in the Giants’ preseason opener at the Bills — Wilson looked steady and competent.

Jaxson Dart has officially seen game action in a New York Giants uniform. The 2025 first-round pick was the second quarterback on the field for Big Blue on Saturday behind starter Russell Wilson, and he didn't waste any time making a good first impression.
