The Chicago Police Department says that at least seven people have been injured following a shooting near the Chicago Theater in downtown Chicago.
Chicago police responded to reports of shots fired and multiple people shot late Friday night outside the Chicago Theatre, just hours after the city lit the official Christmas tree at Millennium Park just blocks away.
One unidentified male victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at Northwestern Hospital. An 18-year-old man was wounded in the leg and hospitalized in serious condition.
Chaos erupted at a Christmas tree lightning event, which allegedly saw 300 young people rioting and multiple teenagers being shot.
