At least seven people were wounded in shootings across Chicago during the Fourth of July weekend, according to police. The ages of the victims range from 20 to 52.

At least 11 people were wounded in separate shootings during the July 4th weekend in Chicago, police said. The first incident was reported at approximately 11:11 p.m. Friday in the 4800 block of South Justine in the Back of the Yards neighborhood. In that shooting, two suspects approached a crowd of people and opened fire, police said.

With the Fourth of July and the annual NASCAR Chicago Street Race making for a jam-packed few days ahead, Chicagoans can expect a hot — and potentially stormy — holiday weekend.
