Chelsea defeated Esperance 3-0 on Tuesday, securing a Round of 16 berth in the Club World Cup, a notable achievement for coach Enzo Maresca given the elimination of other prominent clubs in the group stage.

Liam Delap scored his first Chelsea goal in a 3-0 win over Tunisian champions Esperance on Tuesday which took the Blues through to the last 16 of the Club World Cup.Esperance needed to win the game and their hopes were as good as over as Chelsea scored again two minutes later.

Goals from Tosin Adarabioyo, Liam Delap and Tyrique George saw Chelsea’s second-string side secure a place in the round of 16 at the Club World Cup with a 3-0 victory over Esperance de Tunis in their final Group D match on Tuesday.
