Footage that emerged after tragic plane crash in India appears to show an object flying from the aircraft just moments before it went down, killing 241 people.

A multinational investigation is now underway into the catastrophic crash of an Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner in Ahmedabad, which claimed 241 lives. Teams from the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB),

The Air India flight fell from the sky on Thursday and killed at least 270 people in Gujarat state, officials said Saturday.

The aircraft, Air India flight AI-171, took off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport on Thursday afternoon and crashed shortly after in the Meghaninagar area. The plane burst into flames upon impact. Fire and rescue teams were immediately dispatched to douse the blaze, confirmed fire officer Jayesh Khadia.

The Air India plane that crashed in Ahmedabad on June 12 was a Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. As per a report, Air India had 34 Boeing 787 airframes in its fleet before the crash.

The Tricolour is being brought to the Civil Hospital mortuary in Ahmedabad to be draped over his mortal remains. Around 2,000 kilograms of flowers will be used to decorate the hearse van that will carry the body of the former Chief Minister.
