Shemar Turner and Ozzy Trapilo are now poised to begin Chicago Bears training camp on time, and that could be a sign that Luther Burden III soon might follow.

The Chicago Bears have signed second-round offensive tackle Ozzy Trapilo to his rookie contract, according to Albert Breer. It's a four-year deal with the first two years fully guaranteed, per Breer, and the third year is 72% guaranteed. Trapilo is just the fourth second-round pick to sign this offseason.

The former Missouri star was projected to be a first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, but he slid to No. 39 overall after questions about his commitment and work ethic arose during the 2024 season. The fact thate he regressed to just 61 catches for 676 yards and six touchdowns didn't help.
