Portland International Airport (PDX) serves as a hub for Seattle-based Alaska, which operates around 100 daily flights to 58 destinations from the airport. From May 15, the carrier will launch daily Boeing 737 flights between PDX and Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH).

Alaska Airlines on May 15 will begin daily service between Houston Bush Intercontinental and Portland, Oregon. Alaska's Boeing 737 service will compete against United, which flies the route two or three times daily. Houston is currently Alaska's largest unserved U.S. city from its Portland base.

PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — Alaska Airlines is set to expand its service in Oregon with the addition of three new nonstop flights. Starting in May, the airline will offer a daily direct flight between Portland and Houston. Additionally, two round-trip flights connecting Portland and Eugene will be available each day.
