Not all Republicans are on board with the former Democratic congresswoman as she prepares for her confirmation hearing, Eric Garcia reports
Senators Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins and Mitch McConnell voted against confirming Donald Trump’s pick for defense secretary. To Capitol insiders, their decisions weren’t surprising.
Four of his appointees have officially been confirmed by the Senate, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Director John Ratcliffe of the CIA, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth (whose final vote was particularly fraught).

Vice President JD Vance spoke with Margaret Brennan on Face the Nation Sunday about Pete Hegseth's confirmation, Tulsi Gabbard's upcoming confirmation, executive orders, FEMA, and more.
