Pat Perez Is Done Playing LIV Golf
When he first volunteered for the PGA Tour event at Torrey Pines four decades ago, Tony Perez was sent out to the South Course’s ninth hole. “I started measuring the distances of the drives,” Perez said.
Pat Perez joined LIV Golf right after it launched in 2022 but has not found much success on the Saudi-backed circuit. He finished the 2024 season ranked 48th in the individual standings, barely out of the relegation zone, but now he will not have to worry about maintaining his position for 2025.
Pat Perez is trading his clubs for a microphone. Following three seasons as a member of LIV Golf’s 4Aces, the 48-year-old is joining the circuit’s broadcast team as an on-course analyst. Perez will also do pre-and-post-round coverage.
While maybe not the complete answer, Pat Perez, a former 4Aces, may be part of the solution. After three seasons playing in the LIV Golf League, the 48-year-old Perez lost his playing privileges but will still be part of LIV as a part of the broadcast team during the 2025 season.
