The Atlanta Falcons hired Jeff Ulbrich as defensive coordinator in the hopes of getting more out of the team's recent defensive draft picks. But another initial potential impact Ulbrich could make is in free agency.

A new potential option has been suggested for the Jets that would make for a head-scratching answer to replacing Rodgers. Rodgers, a 41-year-old quarterback, simply does not offer New York a long-term option. However, neither would Kirk Cousins, who has now been suggested as a potential target.

That year, they went into free agency with journeyman Josh McCown atop the depth chart while holding the sixth pick in the draft. They signed Teddy Bridgewater and made a St. Patrick's Day blockbuster, trading up three spots. They eventually selected Sam Darnold, traded Bridgewater before the season and rolled with Darnold and McCown.

The New York Jets have a defender heading to free agency that many teams could want, and one writer thinks the Atlanta Falcons could make a huge push.

Since then, Atlanta has hired former New York Jets defensive coordinator and interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich to the same position. Ulbrich spent 2015-20 as a Falcons assistant. He has stated that a main goal for him was to put pressure on opposing quarterbacks, something that Atlanta has consistently failed to do for several straight seasons now.
