A player from LSU made a striking admissions on star Johni Broome and the No. 1 team in the country after another impressive win

LSU has posted a solid overall record of 12-7 so far this season but only has one win in six tries against fellow SEC teams. The Bayou Bengals have lost two in a row coming in, to the top-25-ranked Texas A&M Aggies and Alabama Crimson Tide, respectively.

Madison Booker and Rori Harmon combined for 42 points to lead No. 7 Texas past Auburn 74-57 Thursday in Southeastern Conference women’s basketball action at Neville Arena in Auburn, Alabama.

Johni Broome is back, and Auburn is still on top of the SEC. The Tigers picked up their 11th straight win on Saturday night when they beat Tennessee 53-51. It marked Broome’s first game back from an ankle injury. He had a team-high 16 points and 13 rebounds off the bench in the win, which marked the lowest point total the Tigers have had all year.

The Vols likely would catapult onto the No. 1 seed line with a win at Auburn, but it would carry weight beyond the immediate effect on bracketology.
