An off-duty US Customs and Border Protection officer was shot in a Manhattan park on Saturday following an apparent robbery gone wrong, New York City police and federal officials said.
An off-duty U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agent was shot in a New York park on Saturday, footage shows. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) named Miguel Francisco Mora Nunez, a citizen of the Dominican Republic, as one of the suspects.
The officials also faulted Mayor Eric Adams of New York, where the shooting occurred, and promised to flood the city with federal agents who would search for undocumented migrants.
