Ahead of making his debut as the Man of Steel, Superman star David Corenswet turned to two fellow Kryptonians for guidance — and got some eerily similar advice from them both.

Corenswet revealed that after being cast for the role in James Gunn's upcoming Superman film, he exchanged letters with Henry Cavill and Tyler Hoechlin. Cavill previously portrayed Superman in five movies,

David Corenswet is getting ready to step into the iconic role of Superman, and he recently opened up about something pretty cool that happened after he was cast. While speaking with Beat 102 103, he said he got letters from Henry Cavill and Tyler Hoechlin,

“It was just difficult to figure out where I was going to come from with Superman ,” Gunn said speaking to io9 in Los Angeles last week. “And I think that it really started with my dog in a lot of ways. The idea of putting in Krypto, I think, was the fun part for me, because that was something that we hadn’t really seen in a Superman movie.”
