In London, Ky., the scope of the destruction from a tornado that killed 19 in the state was coming into view as residents tried to process the disaster.

Police requested the curfew, which applies to people who aren’t residents of the community or helping with storm recovery.

He paused the concert again when a sign waving in the air stole his attention away from his duties onstage. After inquiring about the sign, he learned it was made to honor the commonwealth communities in Kentucky that were devastated by tornadoes over the weekend.

This number could increase as the National Weather Service surveys areas impacted by the severe storms that hit the state Friday.
