Residents of London, Kentucky, who are still trying to recover from the deadly tornado that killed multiple people in their community last weekend is facing the possibility of more dangerous weather headed their way.

Meteorologists with the NWS Paducah office have also confirmed several tornadoes in its region the afternoon and evening of May 16. Three tornadoes impacted western Kentucky, including an EF-3 tornado in Morganfield with winds of 155 mph, an EF-2 tornado in Allegre and an EF-2 tornado in Casky.

A few storms may be possible Tuesday morning, but the main threat for strong-to-severe thunderstorms comes in the afternoon to evening hours. Damaging winds, excessive rain and isolated tornadoes are all possible. Make sure you stay weather aware and have a way to receive severe weather alerts.

Residents in 49 Kentucky counties are urged to find alternate ways to receive severe weather alerts through Wednesday.
