Judge Beverly Cannone said the Read case continues to draw "daily, divisive attention" and jurors could face "a real and present risk" if their names were released.

At least one juror was identified on social media following Read’s first trial, despite Cannone impounding the list, she wrote. The list was impounded last year after a juror filed a motion indicating they were afraid for their and their family’s safety.

Judge Beverly Cannone, who presided over the lengthy trial, ordered that the list of names of the empaneled jurors in the trial be impounded on Wednesday. She cited safety concerns raised by a juror from Read's first trial, which ended in a mistrial.
