A new wildfire was reported 10:10 a.m. May 24 in San Diego County. Olive 2 Fire has been burning on private land for 21 hours. At this time, there is no information on the containment of the fire and the cause of it is still undetermined.
The blaze ignited around 5:15 p.m. Saturday off Springhurst Drive in the Sabre Springs area, burning in brush near Cobblestone Creek Road in Poway, sheriff’s officials said. Crews were able to stop the forward spread of the fire around 6:30 p.m., according to San Diego fire officials.
