The 18-year-old is coming off an impressive year with the Örebro Junior Team in Sweden, where he recorded 22 points in 41 games. He's a versatile player with two-way abilities and, with some more development, could have significant contributions to the Wild.

Matthew Schaefer, with Friday's decision by the New York Islanders, became the second Erie Otters chosen with the No. 1 overall pick in an NHL draft.
