NBA trade deadline ends tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. EST. Contenders are trying to add last-minute pieces to prepare for a playoff run in a few months.  NBA insider Chris Fedor reported that the Hawks and Cavaliers are interested in trading.

The wing, who was collegiate teammate with Cavaliers guard Ty Jerome and won a national championship together, is averaging his career-best 19.0 points per game while also shooting a personal-best 39.3 percent on 3-pointers.

While not a league-shifting move like Jimmy Butler to the Warriors (25-25) or Luka Doncic to the Lakers (29-19), the Cavs move for Hunter will make a great impact in the race for the top seed in the East, and for Cleveland's playoff aspirations as it tries to return to the finals for the first time since LeBron James left after the 2018 season.
