Arizona finished 4-8 in its Big 12 debut season, but the Wildcats are perhaps the quietest lurker in the conference. They’re already bowl eligible at 6-3, and two of their losses transpired on the final play to 8-win teams — dropping a double overtime heartbreaker to BYU and falling on a last-second field goal at Houston.
Right now, Texas Tech is 6-1 in the league with BYU and the No. 22 Cincinnati Bearcats knotted at 5-1. The Cougars host TCU Saturday, Nov. 15, with the Bearcats at "The Nipp" for brunch with Arizona at noon. A win over the Wildcats sets up a pivotal Nov. 22 matchup with BYU that is already sold out.

Max Fletcher, the Cincinnati Bearcats punter, is continuing a family legacy in sports as he takes on the role previously held by his brother Mason Fletcher, who graduated last year.
Arizona's second-year coach is Brent Brennan. He is 10-11 overall with the Wildcats, but 6-3 this season and bowl eligible. Before Arizona, he coached seven years at San Jose State, going 34-48 and making three bowl games. His overall record is 44-59.
The class is ranked No. 26 nationally by Perfect Game, the highest-ranked recruiting class in program history. It beat out the Bearcats’ 2025 class, which had previously held the mark for highest-ranked class in school history. This year’s recruiting class also ranks fourth in the Big 12 Conference.
