Japan and China are blaming each other after Tokyo raised concern that a Chinese fighter jet came dangerously close to Japanese reconnaissance planes.

A Chinese fighter jet came within about 150 feet of a Japanese naval reconnaissance plane over the weekend, the Japanese Defense Ministry said Thursday, an action the US ambassador to Tokyo called “dangerous” and “reckless.

It has a diamond-shaped wing and no tail fin, which makes it more hidden and better at flying smoothly through the air.
