The longtime Vogue powerhouse told staff Thursday she’s seeking a head of editorial content to handle more of the day-to-day operations.

Laurie Schechter worked with Anna Wintour at New York Magazine and Vogue. She said Wintour was prickly on the outside but soft on the inside.
