ABBA ‘s Björn Ulvaeus is proving that curiosity doesn’t diminish with age. At 80, the Swedish songwriter behind some of pop music’s most enduring hits is pioneering a new frontier in musical theater: creating a musical with the assistance of artificial intelligence.

Björn Ulvaeus is taking another chance on artificial intelligence. “Right now I’m writing a musical, assisted by AI,” the ABBA singer said during a SXSW London panel this week, per Variety.

Indeed, the new, as yet unnamed and unannounced musical project is being produced by Pophouse Entertainment, the same company that helped the band put together ABBA: Voyage. Ulvaeus now envisions Pophouse as “a kind of creative hub” for “reimagining musical legacies through new technologies.”
