A report of an active shooter at USC’s Thomas Cooper Library prompted evacuations before officials gave the all-clear.

The University of South Carolina says there is an active shooter on campus, according to an alert from USC’s emergency notification system. The shooter was reported a little after 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Thomas Cooper Library and is being described as a six-foot white man with black pants.
