Liverpool are frantically fighting to rediscover their mojo when they host Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
Arne Slot has refused to be drawn on whether negotiations are still ongoing to extend his Liverpool contract and insisted his focus is on returning his team to winning ways.
Former Liverpool defender Stephen Warnock has said the latest defeat "keeps the pressure on" Slot and means "so many more questions will be asked of him", while ex-Reds midfielder Dietmar Hamann said of the Dutchman: "Results have to improve otherwise the air will become thinner for him."
According to the Daily Mail, tests have determined Frimpong will need six weeks to recover from the latest setback to his start to life at Anfield, which was hit by another hamstring injury back in August. He has not started in the Premier League since the opening day of the season.
